As we finally get a few good weeks to bask in the sunny warmth of summer, news in the HR & payroll tech landscape has been slow. As with most industries, people tech is not immune to the August slow down. That said, there are still a few interesting things that have happened this month. Most of them focused around payroll! CloudPay Secures $120M Funding
Advanced payroll platform CloudPay has secured $120m in its latest funding round. This funding will support them in their efforts to advance innovation and AI tools for their global payroll clients.

Zalaris has been shortlisted for 3 awards
Payroll and HR solution provider Zalaris has been shortlisted for three awards by the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals. They have been shortlisted in the categories of: CIPP Spotlight Award: Sophie Leonard, Zalaris; International Payroll Service Provider of The Year Award; and Payroll Service Provider of The Year Award.

PayPal integrates with payroll provider UKG
HR and payroll solutions provider UKG has teamed up with PayPal to provide early wage access to its US clients. Employees whose pay is processed through UKG Pro will be able to easily set up PayPal Direct Deposit through their employer’s payroll portal.

Lattice to release its new HRIS this October
People management platform Lattice is excited to announce the arrival of its new Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to be released on the 8th of October this year.
