With the warm weather, the HR tech landscape seems to be heating up as well. Funding, partnerships, launches, acquisitions – it's all happening this month! Check out what’s been happening in the world of HR and payroll technology during March 2025:
PayCaptain partners with RotaCloud
PayCaptain’s new partnership with RotaCloud lets HR, rota and time & attendance data flow at any point in the payroll process. Saving their customers time and reducing the risk of errors.
Factorial receives additional funding from General Catalyst
Factorial has expanded the go-to-market investment from General Catalyst. What started as an $80m investment is now $200m. Factorial has recently seen significant growth in the use of its platform and products, a fact reflected in the increased investment.
Cezanne acquires Occupop to enhance recruitment solutions
Cezanne has acquired Dublin-based recruitment tech leader Occupop. This strategic move integrates Occupop's award-winning platform into Cezanne's suite, enhancing recruitment capabilities and providing an intuitive, end-to-end solution for attracting, managing, and retaining talent. This marks Cezanne's first major acquisition.
Deel acquires Safeguard Global’s payroll team
Deel, the rapidly growing HR and payroll platform, has acquired the payroll division of Safeguard Global. The entire Safeguard Global payroll team will be joining Deel, combining their know-how and dedicated tools with Deel’s in-house HR, immigration and legal experts. This will give Deel customers access to even more robust payroll and Safeguard’s customers access to Deel.
Papaya Software launches Papaya HR
Papaya has released v1.0 of its new Papaya HR - a brand new, ground-up, next generation HR product. Configurable, intuitive and functional out-of-the-box.
Workday
HR software provider Workday has launched agentic AI for its platform users. The CEO of Workday has said that he envisions AI agents will one day become ‘digital employees’ but that they will ‘peacefully co-exist' within teams letting humans focus on the strategic roles instead of manual and task-based ones.
Payfit
France-based payroll and HR automation platform PayFit has secured a €90 million series D funding. PayFit will use the funding from this round “to pursue its ambition to simplify payroll and human resource management for all European SMEs”.
Lattice
Lattice, the all-in-one people platform for HR, Talent, and AI, announced its AI agent for HR. It was designed to help HR teams work better and make employees more productive. Lattice AI answers employee questions without having to hunt through intranets, documents, and knowledge bases.
